I have a little of everything (well except classical and country). Oh wait, I do have a couple of Johnny Cash songs. Also: David Bowie, Green Day, Daughtry, Nickelback, Pink Floyd, The Police, Bob Dylan and lots more. I need to put songs by the Beatles and Sarah McLachlan. Finally, I need to sink my U2 collection. I also have an mp3 player that's just Christian music. It has stuff by Kutless, the News Boys, some Gregorian chant, Jaci Valasquez and lots more artists. I can not live with out music. My mp3 players go everywhere with me. One even has an FM tuner which is great, cause I like to listen to the radio as well.

I have a Creative Zen Stone, 1gb, which is simple to use, didn't require installation of anything on my computer. I've given them as gifts to several people.

What's on mine? Hmm. Some Billie Holiday, some Arinsky Quartet (classical), Frances Langford, Carly Simon, Melissa Etheridge, Jem, Suzanne Vega, Gillian Welch, Bob Dylan, Ella Fitzgerald... lots that make for a strange combination. LOL

However, I rarely listen to it, to any music. My BookPort is my constant companion, and it contains too many books to list.

Post 9 by blw1978 (I'll have the last word, thank you!) on Monday, 31-Mar-2008 20:09:21

Isn't that the beauty of mp3 players, that you can create your own weird compilations? Besides my laptop (with internet access of course), my mp3 players are two of my most possessions. Who'd ever thought one would have songs by Yanni, the Beatles, U2 and Nickelback all in a row. Fun isn't it?

Post 10 by blw1978 (I'll have the last word, thank you!) on Monday, 31-Mar-2008 20:10:43

Sorry, that should have been two of my most prized possessions.

For an mp3 player at the moment I'm using my Olympus DS30. Right now it just has books on it from Audible, (A history of the Arab Peoples, An introduction to Aristotle and Aristotle's Ethics), but when I do put music on there it's dependant on my mood, so anything from country to classical to rock. These days though I've been going through this country thing so, Brad Paisley, Alan Jackson, people like that. So yeah, pretty eclectic as a rule.

Interesting choices above. Here are mine, which I change often on my Zen Stone.

Thievery Corporation- The cosmic Game.
Chemical Brothers- We Are The Night
Gotan Project- Lunatico
Kid Loco-A Grand Love Story
Orbital- Blue Album
Air- Pocket Symphony
Air- Premiers Symptomes
Zero 7- The Garden.

My mp3 player also has the fm radio, which I like. Right now, I have music on mine that I need to learn for my Church job, and a musical I'm helping to accompany. I find it helps to listen to stuff before I sit down at the keyboard to really learn it. I also have a braille plus which i'm using to write this post at the moment. I want to explore the mp3 capabilities of the unit further when I have time.

Need to put some more stuff on there so I'll have lots of music to listen to when i start commuting to work next week.

Lol I cant believe I read all this! Anyway, hmmmmmm.
Well, first of all a lot of that stuff sounds good, even though I'm not all for rock i'll listen to it sometimes, very rarely though. As for my mp3 player, well, even though I listen to just about anything it's mostly Spanish. No, wait, it's all Spanish! I've got a lot of mixed crap! A lot of random songs my friend sent me, some other cumbia mixes, lots of cumbias! Some pasito duranguense and a little bachata, some Enrique Iglesias, Mana and RBd, (both Spanish pop), and some other random pop songs, and I think that just about covers it. I had to clean out my playlist recently because I used to have a lot of sad romantic stuff on, and now i just try to keep it less romantic. Well, except for the pop stuff since i used to listen to that even before...welll, anyway the device itself is 8 gigs, and I dont use it much. The actual playlist ,one that gets modified quite often, is on I tunes. I dont use my mp3 player much since it's so complicated, so with my Braille Note and external hard drive, I can listen to anything on my music collection, which consists of a little bit of everything. There I have oldies, classic rock, some dance, rap, Spanish, and even some country! So there you have it! And oh yeah, i'm always looking for new music

Post 38 by battle star queen (I just keep on posting!) on Sunday, 09-Nov-2008 1:20:41

I have a sansa express 2gb mp3 player with a micro sd slot on it. Actually, I have two of them, but so far I haven't even put anything on the second one. They have fm tuners and can even record the radio, which is really nice in my opinion. Best of all, they don't need any stupid inaccessible software to copy songs to thm. Plug it in, go to my computer, find it, paste.

So as for what I have on it...

3 Doors Down
10 Years
Breaking Benjamin
Cascada
Evanescence (which is a really large folder)
Kaitlyn's stuff (Princess Kaitlyn's music)
Linkin Park
Nickelback
Shinedown
Unsorted
Within Temptation

Note that my unsorted folder is almost 700 mb, and has a bunch of random unsorted stuff in it, which I really don't want to list. Besides, it would probably take up the entire remainder of this post.
